Zoom G2.1Nu + G-A-68 + little update

Hey guys. Rey here. Anyways I decided to update because I got a new item to show off. XD Its the Zoom G2.1Nu Multi Effects Processor. Made by Zoom, its the little brother of the Zoom G9.2tt that I really want. Some of you guys might remember me posting about me wanting the Boss ME-70. Then all of a sudden I change my mind to Zoom. Why? Well its simple, Zoom is cheaper than Boss. The ME-70 here is japan is around 35k yen, while the Zoom G9.2tt is around 30k yen. And I can say the Zoom G9.2tt is about the same as the Boss GT-10, which costs 50k yen here. @.@ Too expensive for me to handle. But lets not change the topic to the big brother. We're talking about the little brother here, the Zoom G2.1Nu. I bought it for 8,900 yen, as it was 2nd hand (? it looks like it hasn't been used at all tho ?), so it was a huge discount from its original 15k price. And so I have it here at home, and it sounds GREAT as hell. Definitely what I was looking for.

So currently I'm playing with this set up.

to

Vox PathFinder 10

Oh and I also brought G-A-68 our local Guitar Store, and asked them to fix the guitar's little problem, which is the 6th string's 11 and 20th fret isn't ringing. -.- So she will be staying with the them for about a week if she has a real problem, not just some simple one. @,@

I guess that for all. I'll update you guys when there's something new. =3 Oh, I'll be posting pics of my whole setup when my G-A-68 comes back. Thats all! Tah Tah. =3

SUP PEOPLE

Hey guys its bin a long time since I last posted LOL. Hahahaha.

So anyways I HAVE to update. XD I've made lots of blogs before and what happened to all of them? THEY DIED. XD Haha. I don't want this one to die.

So what has happened to me recently.

Well 1st of all, my dad and I bought a new car here in Japan. Its a NISSAN EL GRAND. Its huge, it looks cool as hell, and well. ITS COOL. XD I love it, my dad loves it. The problem is, I can't drive it for 2 reasons. One, my dad doesn't wanna let go of the steering wheel. XD And two, I've bin having problems with the conversion of my Driver's License from my Filipino license to Japanese. They're asking me to produce proof that I took the manual test, because my license is for Manual. Aren't they stupid? Why would I have a manual driver's license if my test wasn't manual? LOL. I so hate that stupid guy. He looked like the Office Chief, so I had no choice but to comply. Well atleast my baby was able to get it for me, so in about 1 week time, I'll have the license. WOOT EL GRAND!!!

Then next, well, I happened to find a 2nd hand GrassRoots G-A-68, a cheaper version of the ESP signature guitar of AOI from The Gazette, a Visual-Kei band here in Japan. The guitar's nice, the problem is, ever since I changed strings and set-up the Floyd Rose, the 11th fret of the 1st string is having Fret Buzz and I can't get rid of it. Boo Hoo. Thanks to that, I can't play it properly. -.- Well atleast I still have my B.C. Rich ASM 1 here to keep me company. But I'm planning on taking the G-A-68 to a tailor sometime to get it set up by a professional. Still a newb here on Floyds, so hopefully a professional can fix it since I can't.

Next, well I decided to update my "TARGET SOUND SYSTEM" part because the amps and stuff that I want changed. I'll list it here as well. XD

1. ESP Random Star - most likely will get it custom made.

2. ESP Arrow ( Japanese Market ) - the Japanese Arrow is sort of different than Alexi Laiho's, but will most likely get it custom made as well.

3. Blackstar HT-5S - want it as my practice / bedroom amp. I recently fell in love with Blackstars so I definitely want it.

4. Blackstar HT Stage 100 - hopefully will be my Live Head.

5. Blackstar HTV 412 Cabinet - I want the Blackstar name on my Cabs as well. XD

6. BOSS ME-70 - I know multi effects processors sound a bit dull than a bunch of pedals, but I want it compact and handy. This will do its job nicely.

So that's my list for the items I want for my setup. XD

Next. My classes has started again. Break's over. XD We have a new classmate, she replaced the one that left our class. And to think they're both Chinese. XD

Lastly, I wanted to say I LOVE MY BABY SO SO SO MUCH!!! Jovan Marie Briones you're my only love, forever and ever. Thank you for the blog post you made for me on my Birthday. =3 Can't wait to be back there in the Philippines and hug you tight this December. I LOVE YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!!

There. I'm done again. Till next time. Tootles!

My Stuff before Year 2010 Ends.

So I finally have a job, and indeed I am going to save up as much money as I can to buy stuff that I really need / want.

So here's a simple list I decided to make up as a list of TO BUYS. XD

To BUY before the end of 2010:

1. Epiphone SG

( I need this baby before August. A gift for my dear baby Jovan to fuel her learning. <3 )

2. B.C.Rich NJ Deluxe Jr.V / Warbeast

( I need to test the feel for both, but I'm leaning towards the V. )

3. Bugera 333XL-212 / 333XL Head + 412 Cabinet

( The 333XL-212 is a combo. I would want them separately, but I'm not sure if it would fit my room. XD )

4. Alienware M11X w/ Intel I7 Processor or some random really nice gaming laptop

( A gaming laptop. Yes. I'm a gamer. XP )

5. External Hard Drive

( I have too many anime / movies / mp3 in my current laptop. I need more space. XD )

6. Ipod 4

( I need a new cellphone. The one I have is crappy. XD )

7. IPAD

( I want it. Its basically a want, doesn't have to be this year. )

8. A LOT of CLOTHES

( I came to Japan with clothes only enough for 2 weeks. How's that. XD Good thing my dad and I wash clothes weekly. )

9. Music Tech Books

( To fuel my study in guitar, as well as some Voice books to improve my singing. I would sure love to have lessons, but I'm not sure I have the time to take them. =/ )

10. PASALUBONG

( It's a Filipino term, which basically means gifts for close friends and family that you give to them when you come back from somewhere after a long while. Well, its a Filipino culture thing. XD And well there are a LOT of people asking for them, so I gotta buy some stuff for them as well. @.@ my savings~ O.O )

I guess thats it for now. =3 I'll update my list if ever I have some new stuff that I HAVE to buy. XD

FINALLY GOT A JOB!!! WOOOOT!!!!

Its a simple job, you just have to count the products left in the store after it closes. Simple job, only requires you to count. =3 But its a night job, so I gotta wrestle with my sleepiness. XD And to think I'm a sleepyhead.

Anyways, finally I found a job, so I finally can buy things I want in a couple of weeks. =3 HURRAAAHHH!!!

21 Day Challenge.

I've bin going all over the net in search for guitar lessons I could follow on my quest to be a top class Shredder. I've bin reading articles, browsing forums, going to free lesson sites ( I don't have a credit card so I can't use pay to learn sites yet ), and even just using my Guitar Pro and downloading GPro files to learn music. And after this like 2 months of studying ( Yes I know 2 months is still short and I have a long road ahead ) I found something really tempting to do.

21 Day Challenge

Its a page from the UltimateGuitar.com forums which was a dare to all players to pick a song they want to learn, sit down, start practicing the song by playing it as slowly and as cleanly as possible, and play it at the same tempo or raise it little by little, and hopefully by the 21th day, you should be able to play the song at full speed, or if not, close to it.

So I'm going to use this method I guess, so for 21 days I would like to master the following songs.

1. DragonForce - Through the Fire and Flames
2. Metallica - Master of Puppets
3. Children of Bodom - In Your Face

Wait for my update in 21 days guys. =) Support me on this! XD

To ESP, or to B.C. Rich

I've bin wondering for a while as to what guitar I should buy once I finally get a job and have enough cash to spend. I've always bin a fan of B.C. Rich, seeing as I own one for my beginner guitar, and they're a pretty cheap company with quality guitars. But recently reading some reviews and watching videos, ESP comes to mind as one of the best Rock / Metal guitars. More expensive, but definitely TOP quality. And since I'm here in Japan, Edwards Guitars ( Japanese brand of ESP ) is pretty affordable here, with the same quality, and heck. ITS JAPAN MADE. I want some thoughts from people around the world, especially from people that actually own the guitars, and see which is better. I'm also planning on going to Ochanomizu, where there are tons of instrument shops, and pick up some ESP and BC Rich guitars and just play them, and hope to find which would suit me better.

Current thoughts of my next guitar is :

+B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V

or

+ESP Edwards E-AL-166 ( Seymour Duncan Blackouts )
+ESP Edwards E-AL-128 ( EMG HZ )

anyways Rock On People. =)

EDIT : I've decided to go ESP all the way, and one day order my own custom ESP. =)

Holding a PICK, and Part Time Jobs.

God I'm a horrible guitar player. After studying a bit more about guitar playing and all that, heck. I thought the way I hold my pick is fine. NOT. No wonder I'm having a hard time when it comes to playing some Pinch Harmonics or some Sweep Picking ( Tho I'm seriously still too slow. ). So now I changed my way of holding the pick, and yeah. I'm so not used to it. But I'll get used to it in time. XD

As for part time jobs. I SO NEED ONE. I'm gonna go back to the Phils for vacation in August, and I SERIOUSLY need some cash to spend for me and my girlfriend, Jovan Briones. I atleast want to treat her to good stuff, since I've bin gone for so long and I know she would want to go to tons of places and spend as much time with me. <3

I'm also starting to get to more technical guitar stuff, and its about time I started farming for some cash to fuel my needs. Currently aiming to buy that "B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V" within this year along with that "BOSS ME-70" (See Target Sound System). Hope I can get a job within the next 2 weeks.

-prays-

Haha. Guys support me. XD

Anyways thats it for now. ROCK ON PEOPLE! =3

"Kikuri" Live Show at Roppongi Japan

Went to a live show with my mother and her friends. "Kikuri" a former member of a japanese Pop/RnB group "EXILE" was guest. Show was pretty cool. He has a nice voice, and his songs are lively and pretty catchy. The live was at a small live house called "MORPH" at Roppongi, Tokyo.

The show started at around 7:15, starting with a girl named "Osana Eri", singing while 2 guys played instruments (a keyboard and an acoustic guitar) along with her. She had a pretty nice voice as well, but I was amazed with the Keyboardist. He sure had some awesome skills with the Keyboards.

After that was "Kikuri". Like I said awhile ago, he's a pretty cool singer, singing mainly Pop and RnB.

So yeah. That was some cool stuff. I learned some stuff about simple live playing by watching them. I'd like to go to a rock live show sometime soon.

Well. I guess thats all. Peace guys. ROCK ON.

Pinch Harmonics.

Started practicing them a few days back, and guess what. I FINALLY GOT THEM TO SOUND RIGHT!!! =) 2 or 3 days ago the harmonics would come once in a while while I kept plucking on the strings, but now I could finally constantly use them as I played around with my guitar.

Yay Me. XD
